Dear Brother Priests, Consecrated Persons, and Lay Faithful of the Diocese of Imus,
Greetings of peace!
In Solidarity with the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) and the Dapat 1 Lang Movement, which is a coalition of civic, religious, and advocacy groups dedicated to advance a genuine anti-political dynasty law in the country through people's initiative, we reaffirm our objective to pursue the common good through the transformation of our social and political landscape.
The previous circular letter released on the 31st of July 2026 (CL. NO.28, series of 2026) concerning this pastoral initiative was addressed to all people of goodwill, and not to any particular persons or groups, because the values of the Gospel challenge all of us to build a just and humane society.
The Diocese of Imus therefore denounces any attempt to twist or distort this pastoral message for selfish gains. Individuals or groups who spread misinformation or use the letter for personal or even political advantage especially for election campaign betray the message of the Gospel and mislead the people.
Our message is grounded in truth and solidarity, not in division or personal ambition, and therefore must be free from manipulation.
We stand firm in our mission to uphold truth, justice, and social transformation as our Lord Jesus summons us to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. (Mt. 5:13-14)
Given at the Chancery Office, City of Imus, Cavite on the 17th of August 2026.
