Dear Brother Priests, Consecrated Persons, and Lay Faithful of the Diocese of Imus,

Greetings of peace!

The Diocese of Imus welcomes the relic of St. John of the Cross through the initiative of the Third Order of Carmelites, called “Viaje ni Juan” pilgrimage, which will be held on August 23, 2026, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Ewo City, Kawit, Cavite.

This event commemorates the 300th anniversary of the canonization of Saint John of the Cross and the 100th anniversary of his proclamation as Doctor of the Church.

The attached schedule of activities includes catechesis on the relic, talks on Christian spirituality inspired by St. John of the Cross, poetry readings from his writings, and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

The faithful are welcome to venerate the relic and offer prayers especially for those facing trials and difficulties.

I invite the clergy, consecrated persons, and lay faithful to participate in this meaningful event.

May the Lord increase in us the grace of faith through the example of St. John of the Cross.
